Oxygen

Oxygen is a Defi prime brokerage service built on Solana and serves as a permissionless, cheap, and scalable protocol that democratizes borrowing, lending, and trading with leverage. Oxygen provides it’s users with a more efficient way to manage their capital.

Challenge

The team at Oxygen reached out to Precode and asked us to design the web app for both desktop and mobile web. The challenge was to design the UI for all primary user journeys within a week, for both desktop and mobile web, and provide models for light and dark mode.

Impact

In just 5 days, we designed the complete Oxygen web application experience for both desktop and mobile web. We delivered comprehensive designs for all primary user journeys including lending, borrowing, and leveraged trading—each optimized for both light and dark mode preferences. The design balanced the complexity of DeFi protocols with an interface that made sophisticated financial tools accessible, positioning Oxygen as a premium offering in the Solana ecosystem.

Approach

Pre-flight

We had a three hour meeting the week before the sprint to meet the team, discuss the project brief, walkthrough the current registration and onboarding process, confirm the deliverables and obtain any necessary assets before the first day of the sprint.

Daily calls

Every morning we had a 15 minute stand up with the Oxygen team

Show & Tell

At the end of each day we sent an email with a link to a prototype plus a video screencast of us presenting our work to the Oxygen team

Prototyping

Prototypes not presentations - we prefer to show prototypes instead of screens. This allowed the Oxygen team to walk through user journeys instead of a set of static screens.

Handover

We performed three rounds of user testing which were all recorded. The video recordings, feedback and results all made available to the Oxygen team, and written up into a user testing report.
